The journey begins from the hotels in El Calafate starting at 7 in the morning.

A tour through one of the most representative landscapes of Argentine Patagonia, traveling part of RN40 with the opportunity to enjoy marvelous panoramic views. Upon reaching El Chaltén, we will take the self-guided transfer, covering the 37 km that separate us from Lake del Desierto on a beautiful gravel road, following the Río de las Vueltas.

Then, from the southern dock, we sail for about 30 minutes, sighting the Huemul and Crestón glaciers to disembark in the area of the Grand Glacier Vespignani, located in the central part of the lake. Once there, under the supervision of an activity coordinator for your safety, you will have 2 hours to choose to explore all or some of the THREE trails. After a farewell hot chocolate, we board back to arrive at the southern dock. From there, the bus takes us to El Chaltén to take the bus back to El Calafate. (This transfer is without a guide)

The Red Trail, with an elevation gain of 200 meters and a 2 km route, allows us in one hour, at a slow pace, to reach a great view of the glacier, plus an incredible high-altitude view of the north face of Mount Fitz Roy.

Yellow Trail

The Yellow Trail, with an elevation gain of only 50 meters in 1 km, takes us with a gentle slope in 30 minutes to an outstanding panoramic point with a view of the glacier.

Green Trail

The green trail, as an option or complement to the other routes, is an interpretive walk with no elevation gain over a total distance of only 800 meters. Always within the forested and coastal area, it doesn’t miss having its viewpoint of the Grand Glacier.
