The experience

Departing from the city of Ushuaia, we will travel along National Route No. 3, heading northeast, towards the mountain peaks, Monte Olivia, and Cinco Hermanos.

During the journey along the Carbajal Valley, we will observe cirque glaciers, hanging valleys, and peat bogs.

We continue to a Winter Center where we will have a brief informative talk about the place while enjoying a delicious mountain coffee. For those interested, it’s possible to arrange a snowmobile ride as an additional activity. Here, we have service facilities for those who may need them.

Continuing our journey, we will encounter peat valleys, small glaciers, cross-country ski centers, snow activities, the alpine ski complex Cerro Castor, waterfalls, and environments modified by the actions of beavers.

From the Rancho Hambre area, we start ascending towards Paso Garibaldi, following the winding road surrounded by Lenga and Ñire forests.

At the Paso Garibaldi Viewpoint, we will stop to enjoy panoramic views of Lake Escondido, Lake Fagnano, and the surrounding area.

After this final stop, we will begin the return journey to the winter centers area, where we will stop for lunch with the possibility to taste the typical Fuegian Spit-Roasted Lamb (not included).

Then, we return to the city of Ushuaia.
